Francis Bacon - Centre Pompidou

Digital strategy for the Francis Bacon retrospective at Centre Pompidou, extending the exhibition and its curatorial narrative across the museum's digital ecosystem.

Francis Bacon - Centre Pompidou — Exhibition digital strategy

More than twenty years after the last major Francis Bacon exhibition in France, the retrospective brought together 60 paintings — including 12 major triptychs — from leading international public and private collections, offering an unprecedented exploration of the artist's later work and its relationship with literature.

Developed alongside the exhibition and curatorial teams, the digital strategy translated the retrospective's content and visual universe into a coherent online presence, creating new entry points into Bacon's work beyond the physical exhibition.

The work spanned digital content, editorial formats, social media and online communications, shaping how the exhibition was introduced, experienced and shared across the Centre Pompidou's platforms.

Digital activations accompanied the exhibition throughout its lifecycle — from building awareness ahead of the opening to extending its content and narratives beyond the museum and reaching wider audiences online.
